Q. Hi what up tony? i have all 4 of your games and i
am waiting for tony hawk underground to come out. please put
this on your "q and a" page! i heard its been hard to get
on there. anyway, i got a question: why did you choose skadeboarding
instead of other sports, like BMX, or roller blading? thanks!
A. Because I felt like I kept progressing my skateboarding
every time I did it; and I didn't feel like that with any
other sport.

Hey Tony,
Thanks a lot for answering my e-mail. I know you are very busy
doing all of your demos and probably practicing for BBHJ but
I was wondering if you would answer a few questions.
1) Do you think that BBHJ will be better this year than
last year?
A. I guarantee it - our routines
are way more elaborate, the flow is better and we have a loop
this year.
2) Do you enjoy being around all of the people that you
have for BBHJ?
A. Yes - they are an amazing group
to travel with.
3) Are you glad that you are doing BBHJ again?
A. Definitely - I can't wait.
-Tony
Thank you so much,

Hi Tony,
I have a couple of questions i hope you can answer.
1. Does it matter at what age you start skating? I started
skating at the age of 15, and I really love to skate, I skate
from the heart, so am i doing the right thing.
A. It doesn't matter too much, but
I think you're on the right track. Starting at an older sometimes
makes for a slower learning curve.
2. Do you think if I put alot of time and effort to skating,
that one day I can turn pro? turning pro is my dream, an I would
like to be a good role model like you.
A. I believe so, but it can't be
your only motivation for skating. You've got to do it because
you truly enjoy it and continue to challenge yourself.
3. I'm Mexican, I would really like to know if you know any
pro who is mexican like me. It would really help and inspire
me.
A. There are plenty of pros that
are Hispanic that live in the U.S. I don't know any that are
pro and living in Mexico, but I'm sure there are skaters in
Mex that are of professional quality and haven't had a chance
to become recognized (yet).
-Tony
Thanks Tony, and thank you for bringing skating to my life.
You are my role model and skating has changed my life for the
better and has given me a future.
P.S. You and Rodney Mullen are the two greatest skateboarders
of all time and will forever be the best skaters the world has
seen.

Q.
I was watching the bones brigade video show and i was
just wondering which boards do u like better, the old boards
you use in that video or the ones that everybody uses today?
A. I like the ones I use today -
there is a good reason the shapes have changed since then: functionality.

Q. Hello! I met you at the HuckJam stop at Columbus. Very
nice of you to chat that late at night. Thanks! Awesome
show, and I feel very lucky to have witnessed the 900. Great
job :) And you look much taller in person... how does
your height affect your riding? Does it hinder or help
some tricks? Just curious. Have a great Thanksgiving.
A. I've never noticed a difference,
but I grew up as a runt and learned to adapt my style once I
got taller. I suppose it helps for certain things, but
it makes it difficult to ride smaller transitions.

Q.
What's goin' on Tony? I'm one of ya biggest fan!
I totally love watching ya doin' ya tricks in tv! By
the way, I totally enjoyed the (TONY HAWK'S UNDERGROUND) PS2
game!! I've completed the story mode. It was so
AWESOME!!! Was Stacy Peralta your first sponsor?
A. No, he was my second - right after Dogtown.
Who is eric sparrow?
A. A guy we made up for the game.
He's too mean to be real (I hope).
-Tony
That's all for now! Hope you reply back! I am looking
forward for the new tony hawk's ps2 game!

Q.
hi Tony! I was at the Wasington D.C. booom boom
huck jam(Maybe you heard me I cheered and yelled go tony! everytime
you were up! I was wondering how do you choose what tricks
how to do at the Boom Boom Huck Jam?
A. We try to stick to tricks that
we know we can make every time for the doubles routines, and
then try harder stuff during the open jams. The best stuff
happens when the flow is good and the crowd is into it.
And Boom Boom huck Jams a cool name how did you think of it?
A. We HUCK ourselves into the air,
it's a JAM format (not a competition), and sometimes we fall
down and go BOOM.

Hey,
If you cannot answer this question on the Q&A page I would

-Tony

Q.
Hey tony, i have triend to get these questions on this
site a couple of times. I have a project that i have to
do for computers so could you pleeeeasse answer them.
1) What influenced you to write your auto biography?
A. Answering the same questions
over and over about my history, my skating, doing 900's, video
games and getting injured along the way. It didn't stop
the questions, but it helped people understand where I come
from.
2) What are your 2 favorite quotes?
A. "There's no birthday party for
me in here!" - Jeff Spicoli, Fast Times at Ridgemont High
"Daddy, flip, owie" - my 2-year-old
son while throwing my action figure around the house.
3) What is your favorite moment in your career?
A. The feeling I had after the first
Boom Boom HuckJam show (April, 2002 in Vegas), knowing that
the concept would work and the crowd enjoyed it.
-Tony
Thanks alot man... i really appreciate it if you answer those
questions.
